I think the school system should encourage students to strive for improvement rather than a level of perfection. I think grading for classes like PE should be based on effort and improvement, rather than the final result. School should make students want to better themselves. If someone goes into a class with a very high leveling skill, they should still have to show just as much determination and effort as someone who goes into a class with a subpar skill level. Both students should work to better themselves and their grades should reflect that. I don’t care how the classes are graded in terms of a letter grade versus a pass/fail class, as long as it is fair for everyone involved.
