Dear Fauntleroy,
I enjoy dressing up for Halloween but I can never figure out what to go as, and by the time I have an idea Halloween is only a week away. This happens almost every year and it leaves me either simply not going (which is out of the question), having a terrible costume, or my cool costume not arriving until after Halloween is over. This ruins the fun of Halloween for me and I don’t know how to fix it. So here I am begging you, Fauntleroy, please help me, you weird cat.
Sincerely,
A Student on the Verge of Collapse
Dear Poor Unfortunate Soul,
I, Fauntleroy, have read your message and sympathize with your plight. Anything that interferes with a person’s ability to enjoy the spooky season is a crime of the highest order. Never fear, for I have come up with an absolutely genius plan that will fix your problem. First of all, you will need to establish whether or not you are going with someone for Halloween. If so you need to follow the rest of the plan with them. Step one is to find a time a couple weeks before the fateful day and write down any ideas you have. These ideas can range from specific characters or entire genres; it is completely up to you. Step two is to create a budget and remove all previous ideas that do not fit within that budget. Finally, you must pick the costume that fits you the best. By that, I mean the costume that matches with a theme or a group you are affiliated with, or one that simply matches you as a person. Voila. Now you have a Halloween costume selected and ready to go. However, if this does not work out for you, don’t come crying to me. Cats are sensitive and you called me weird. I helped you out of the goodness of my heart, but know that come Halloween, I will be stealing your candy.
Happy Halloween,
Fauntleroy
